We’re holding a family friendly charity open day with games and competitions in aid of Hope House on Sat 28th May. Why not leave the car at home & enjoy an afternoon/evening out?!

We have been challenged to turn their £50 into as much money as possible so we’re using it to brew beer (what else!). With the brewery donating all labour and duty costs, our 3 brewers are sharing the money to put towards ingredients for 3 special beers (not available anywhere else!) We will have 1 cask and some bottles of each beer and the proceeds will be donated to Hope House.

These beers will only be available at the Open Day on 28th May 12.30-7.00pm & is FREE ENTRY! We will also have a couple of regular Conwy ales available. John and Stephanie from The Welsh Oven will be here with their wood fired oven selling fantastic pizzas and jacket potatoes!

There will be limited parking at the brewery on the day and there is space on Highlands/Berth y Glyd Road to park. We would recommend attending via public transport or taxi and you can then enjoy a pint or two! The 13, 14 and 15 services run to Llysfaen and there is a stop opposite the end of Tan y Graig Road (4/5 mins walk from the brewery). There are also a number of taxi companies in Old Colwyn(Dale's, Atlas) and T&M Cars on our enterprise park in Llysfaen (07745214461).

We will then be holding an open day on Friday 8th July.

We're celebrating after pulling in a contract to supply Co-operative food stores in Wales with over 40,000 pints of ale.

Clogwyn Gold, Rampart & Welsh Pride are now playing a part in The Co-operative's move to change the way it sells real ale by offering specially selected beers from breweries near to its local stores.

Research carried out by The Co-operative Food shows how Britain has become a nation of "real ale" converts with Brits now four times more likely to prefer the taste of real ale to mass-produced beers and 71% of drinkers saying it's important to find locally brewed varieties.

Joe Turner, The Co-operative's real ale buyer said "The popularity of Conwy Brewery's beers is impressive and, as a convenience retailer at the heat of the community, this is an important step in our commitment to offering quality, locally sourced produce in our stores. It's exciting to collaborate with breweries such as Conwy Brewery and we hope our customers really enjoy the new selection of ales that we now have on offer - we are very pleased to be able to make a greater range of locally produced ales available in our stores."

Head brewer at Conwy Brewery, Gwynne Thomas, said "It is fantastic news, this is our first listing of this scale with a convenience retailer and it opens up new markets for us. We are delighted that The Co-operative shares our passion for local real ales and is now stocking three of our ales including our best selling Welsh Pride. We pride ourselves on taste & quality and we know this approach is shared by The Co-operative."
